Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-27 · Last updated October 27, 2026
PowerSpike is a product of Elite Gaming National Association (EGNA), which runs the app, the website and Community Clips. "We" in these terms means EGNA.
These terms cover Community Clips: signing in to PowerSpike and publishing clips for other players to watch and share. They also cover joining the PowerSpike beta and the offer that comes with it. Using the app itself needs no account. You accept these terms each time you publish a clip or ask to join the beta; if we change them, the app asks you to accept the new version before your next upload.
Your account
- You sign in with Discord. We get your Discord ID, display name and avatar, nothing else (no email, no friends list, no messages).
- You must be old enough to use Discord where you live, and at least 13.
- Your display name and avatar are shown next to the clips you publish.
- Keep your account to yourself. You're responsible for what's published from it.
- You can choose a display name and a League picture (a champion or your in-game icon). Names are checked against the same banned words as clip titles.
- On powerspike.online you can sign in with the same account to change your name, picture, privacy and League link. Publishing, voting, reacting, following and reporting happen in the app.
Linking your League account
- Posting clips, following players and viewing other players' profiles need a linked and verified League account, so everyone on Community Clips is a real League player. Watching clips doesn't. Linking also lets your profile show your Riot ID, rank and match history (Riot's public data). You can unlink at any time; until you verify again, you can't post, follow or view profiles.
- Verifying proves the account is yours: you set a profile icon we choose (one every account has) for a moment, and we check Riot's public data shows it. In the app, PowerSpike switches the icon in the League client when you press Verify and switches it back afterwards; on the website you change it yourself. One PowerSpike account can verify each League account.
- Linking someone else's account, or trying to verify one that isn't yours, breaks these terms.
Your clips
You keep whatever rights you have in your clips. By publishing a clip, you give PowerSpike a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, show, stream, resize, re-encode and distribute it, and to show it with its title, your display name and your avatar, in the PowerSpike app, on powerspike.online, in links and previews where people share it (for example Discord, X or Reddit), and in PowerSpike's own posts and promotion (for example highlighting a clip of the week). The licence ends when you delete the clip or your account, except for copies other people already shared or downloaded, and backups that are deleted on their normal schedule.
You confirm that each clip is your own League of Legends gameplay, recorded by you, and that publishing it doesn't break anyone else's rights or these rules. League of Legends footage belongs to Riot Games and is used under Riot's Legal Jibber Jabber policy for fan content; clips must be free to watch and can't be sold.
What you can't publish
- Anything that isn't League of Legends gameplay.
- Nudity, sexual content, or anything sexual involving minors (reported to the authorities).
- Hate speech, slurs or symbols, harassment, threats, or encouraging self-harm, in the clip or its title.
- Other people's private information, or targeting a player to shame or harass them.
- Cheats, scripts, exploits or anything that breaks Riot's rules, including promoting them.
- Spam, advertising, or clips you didn't record yourself.
Limits and moderation
- Clips can be up to 60 seconds, at up to 1080p and 60 frames per second. You can publish 5 clips a day and have 25 up at once.
- Every clip is checked before anyone else can see it: its length and quality are read from the file, and a few frames are looked at automatically (by Anthropic's Claude AI) for League gameplay and unsafe content. Clips that aren't League gameplay or that show unsafe content are rejected and deleted. If the automatic check can't run, the clip is held for a person to look at.
- Titles are checked against a list of banned words.
- Other signed-in players can upvote and react to your clips, report your clips or your account, and follow you or your League account to see your clips. Reports go to us, not to you or anyone else; a clip reported by several players is hidden until we look at it.
- To vote or react, your Discord account must be at least 30 days old.
- We can remove any clip, and restrict or ban any account, that breaks these terms. A restriction takes away some features (for example publishing or voting); a ban takes away all of Community Clips and hides your clips while it lasts. Either can be for a set time or permanent. You're told what was decided, why, and until when, the next time you open PowerSpike or the website. Everything else in PowerSpike keeps working.
- Every moderation decision is recorded with the moderator and the reason. If you think one was wrong, use Send feedback.
How long clips stay up
- Published clips stay on Community Clips for six months, then they're deleted automatically.
- Each week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) and each calendar month, the clip published in it with the most upvotes from players with a linked League account becomes Clip of the Week (at least 3 such votes) or Clip of the Month (at least 5). Winners stay up for good and are listed on the Winners page, unless you delete them.
- If you ticked "Save a copy to Published Clips", your own copy stays on your PC until you delete it there.
Deleting
You can delete any of your clips from the app at any time; the video and its preview are deleted from our storage right away. To delete your account and everything published from it, use Delete account on the website's Account page or in the app under your profile (uninstalling doesn't delete it). Your account and clips are hidden right away and erased for good 30 days later; signing back in before then brings them back, and after that it can't be undone. If your account is banned, deleting it doesn't end the ban: it applies again if the same Discord account signs in before the ban ends (see the Privacy Policy).
Copyright and reports
If you think a clip uses your content without permission or breaks these rules, email owner@powerspike.online with the clip's link and what's wrong. We review reports and remove clips that break the rules or the law.
The beta and the 90 days of Pro
- While PowerSpike is in beta, the download on powerspike.online is for approved beta testers. You ask to join on powerspike.online/beta, signed in with Discord. A person at EGNA looks at each request and may approve or turn it down; a request that's turned down can be made again after 7 days.
- EGNA may end a beta tester's access, for example for breaking these terms. Copies of the app already installed keep working.
- During the beta, approved testers get every PowerSpike feature at no cost, including features that may later be part of a paid plan. It's a beta: features can change, be removed or not work as expected, and the beta can end at any time.
- The Pro offer. If EGNA launches a paid plan for PowerSpike ("Pro"), each Discord account approved as a beta tester before Pro launches gets 90 days of Pro at no cost, starting on the day Pro launches. It's added to that account automatically; you don't need a payment card, and it doesn't turn into a paid subscription when the 90 days end.
- The offer is one per account and per person, can't be moved to another account, and has no cash value. It doesn't apply to an account that's banned when Pro launches, or that has been deleted. If EGNA never launches a paid plan, there is nothing to receive.
No guarantees
Community Clips is free and provided as it is. It may change, have downtime, or end; we'll give notice in the app before ending it so you can save your clips. To the extent the law allows, EGNA isn't liable for losses from using it or from what other players publish.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the version at the top changes and the app asks you to accept the new version before your next upload. Clips you already published stay up under the version you accepted.
- Version 2026-10-27: joining the PowerSpike beta, what beta testers get, and the 90 days of Pro for approved testers.
- Version 2026-10-26: PowerSpike and Community Clips are now run by Elite Gaming National Association (EGNA); the rules themselves haven't changed.
- Version 2026-10-25: deleting an account waits 30 days before it's erased, and signing back in before then restores it.
- Version 2026-10-23.3: posting clips, following players and viewing other players' profiles need a verified League account; profiles show follower and following counts.
- Version 2026-10-23.2: clips stay up for six months, Clip of the Week and Month winners for good; upvotes, reactions, following, account reports and notifications; display names, League pictures and linking a League account; signing in on the website; restrictions and bans, and how you're told about them.
