PowerSpike is built to store as little as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing is ever sold or shared for marketing. This page lists everything that is stored, why, and for how long.
On your PC
Your settings (overlay options, the panel's position, startup choices), your LP history graph and the app's log file stay on your
computer, in the app's own folder. They're never uploaded. Uninstalling PowerSpike removes the app; its settings folder can be deleted
from %LOCALAPPDATA%.
To read champion select and live game information, PowerSpike talks to the League client and game running on your PC through Riot's local interfaces. That information stays on your PC, apart from the lookups described below.
On the PowerSpike server
| What | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Public match data from the Riot Games API: champions, roles, runes, items, skill order and results of ranked games. | To calculate win rates, builds and the tier list. | The two most recent patches; older data is deleted automatically. |
| Riot's encrypted player IDs (PUUIDs) and public Riot IDs (name and tag) of players in those games or looked up in the app, and the champion each was last seen on. | To know whose public match history to read next when collecting games, and so searching a name without its tag can list every account with that name. | Capped at 50,000; the oldest are removed first. |
| A summary of your own games when you open a match or Insights: stats, deaths, recalls and key events, linked to your Riot ID. Plus the written review, if one was made. | To show your breakdown, habits and insights without asking Riot for the same game again. | 90 days. |
| Error reports from the app: the app version, which window, and the error message. | To fix bugs. They contain no Riot ID or game data. | 30 days, at most 500 at a time. |
When you use features that look up a player (your own match history, player search, loading-screen scouting), the server asks the Riot Games API using that player's public Riot ID. The server doesn't keep logs of who asked for what, and the website uses no cookies.
Written reviews and combos
Post-game reviews and champion ability combos are written by Anthropic's Claude AI. For a review, only the computed summary of the game is sent (stats, timings, deaths and objectives; no map coordinates, and no names other than champions). Ability combos are written from Riot's public champion descriptions only. Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models.
Your choices
- You can turn off any in-game overlay, scouting, auto-accept and starting with Windows in Settings.
- Game summaries expire on their own after 90 days.
